Much of the humor was based on its comic portrayals of modern conveniences, reinterpreted using Stone Age 'technology.' Most notably were their cars, complete with absence of floorboards to allow them to be 'foot-powered.'。高材生林清在贫困落后的徐家村支教，一心想帮助这里的孩子走出大山，留守儿童徐小凤同学通过了市里数学竞赛的初试，即将能去市里参加决赛，却被叔叔婶婶逼着嫁给死了老婆的村霸，林清力排众难带着徐小凤去城里考试，徐小凤也争气的获得了好成绩。
