此剧围绕北钢搬迁调整展开，讲述了企业转型关头，新老北钢人与企业一同积极进取、砥砺前行，最终成了百年老厂的脊梁和光荣。。因工作关系钟有诚（梁家辉 饰）需要到大屿山一趟。因台风的关系要在岛内留宿，在这个时候他认识了同样被困的少女慧心（袁咏仪 饰）。二人一见钟情，虽然男的已婚，女的也将会在两个星期后结婚，仍挡不住他们的爱火。有诚跟慧心深知他们是无法摆脱家中的一切相守到老，但又觉得对方的聆听是自己心灵的一种解放，便决定每年的这天都来这个小岛相聚。之后无论天雨天晴他们都会重回旧地共渡良宵。期间他们因为有诚的儿子发生过误会，也共同迎接了慧心腹中的孩子出生。直到第二十一次相聚，有诚告诉慧心他的妻子已决定举家移民，这可能是最后一次的相聚……。In the town of Thiers, summer of 1976, teachers and parents give their children skills, love, and attention.
