Set inside a pre-war duplex in downtown Manhattan, The Humans follows the course of an evening in which the Blake family gathers to celebrate Thanksgiving. As darkness falls outside the crumbling building, mysterious things start to go bump in the night and family tensions reach a boiling point。一场洪灾让儿时玩伴澪和野江被冲散。澪被大阪料理名店天满一兆奄的老板娘收留，给予了澪温暖，也发现了澪极具料理天分。一场大火烧了店铺也葬送了老板的性命。澪和老板娘肩负着重振天满一兆奄之名，来到了江户。无意中被一家名为鹤屋的料理店老板发现，勾起了老板对已逝女儿的回忆，在发现澪颇具天分后，让澪在鹤屋帮起忙来。 但最初澪的料理并没有得到客人的喜欢，相反还惹怒了客人。使其料理之路步履维艰，在几次受挫和经由浪人小松原及永田医生的点拨和帮助后，澪悟出了大阪和江户饮食的差别，做出了改变。改良后的食物得到了肯定，但很快就被其它店铺模仿，于是澪开始思索真正属于自己的味道，鹤屋生意的兴隆让老牌名店嫉妒不已且暗中想要破坏；而另一方面，儿时玩伴野江也在江户，以自己的力量守护着澪······。芬兰超人气哥特金属乐队Nightwish的05年的一场演唱会《时代终结》。 01.
