Following a desperate attempt to escape the siege, Police captain Viorel is captured by the army and accused of being a terror...。故事发生在隋唐末年，隋文帝的次子杨广企图谋权篡位，为了避免遭到迫害，朝中重臣李渊（罗港生 配音）决定拖家带口离开京城这块是非地，返回故乡颐养天年。李渊的次子李世民（赵铭 配音）此时正陷入了同长孙无蓉（范雷颖 配音）的恋情之中，不愿意离开心爱之人的他想要留在京城，却遭到了无蓉的反对。 在返乡的途中，李世民遭到了杨广派出的杀手廖无极的袭击，手无寸铁的他命悬一线。在这个节骨眼上，偶然路过的秦琼拔刀相助，救了李世民一命，两人就此结下了不解之缘。之后，李世民还遇到了徐茂公、尉迟恭（袁国庆 配音）和程咬金（王肖兵 配音）等英雄好汉，在他们的辅佐之下，李世民能否推翻杨广的统治？。
