He manages to survive and return after the war to his hometown, where he was waiting for a bitter dis...。《警察世家》的故事在解放前北平一個極不起眼的耳垂衚同裏展開，１９４７年，國民黨警察周栓寶掩護地下共產黨員劉海山、肖東昌等人逃脫追捕，沒想到，兩年後北京解放，劉、肖二人接管偽警察，又成了他的領導，故事便圍繞著劉海山一家之中三代警察以及他身邊肖東昌、周栓寶等警察的經歷展開，由１９４７年一直寫到改革開放的今天，歷史跨度大，從一個側面反映出了共和國建國５０年以來所經歷的風風雨雨，同時也塑造出了新舊幾代警察不同的形象以及他們所面臨的不同的社會狀況……。
