Haunted by the death of his father and other psychological traumas, Daniel (Roberto Scorza) returns to the home where he was raised. Faced with intense emotional scars, as well as physical -- which are realized by the years of self-harm depicted by the cuttings adorning his body -- he enters the bathroom to begin a journey of self-exploration, self-mutilation and quite possibly...。故事开始于七十年代的北京。一批部队子弟在什刹海溜冰场不期而遇，宋京生（丁志诚 饰）与辛黑子（傅彪 饰）因罗冬娜（刘蓓 饰）发生龉龃，并以决斗论胜负。后来，他们都参军去了部队，宋京生还因救人负了重伤，罗冬娜写信问候，不料信落在了李东征（李朝晖 饰）之手，致使俩人发生误解。被宋京生救过的辛平平（咏梅 饰）爱上救命恩人，无奈宋心中只装着罗冬娜。在部队事业如日中天的宋建军（张涵予 饰），始终回避着小惠（陶虹 饰）频投的橄榄枝，而罗冬娜对李东征的献殷勤则表示了厌恶。退伍回家的宋京生和辛黑子、小胖（王佳宁 饰）办起个体饭馆自谋生路，而先前拒绝接受辛平平的京生父母终于松了口。在那个特殊年代里，毎个青年人都在践行着自己的梦想......。
